COVID-19 Local Council Services
Mid Devon Distict Council
Both Council cemeteries in Tiverton and Crediton will close to the public with immediate effect. Please follow the link for the full statement and updates on Cemeteries.
Waste and Recycling Services
Weekly food waste collections have been reduced to fortnightly until further notice. They will now be collected on the same day as your recycling and black sack waste. If you have excess food waste, this can be placed in carrier bags or caddy liners beside or on top of your blue kerbside caddy.
Due to a reduction in Waste Management staff, Garden Waste collections have been temporarily suspended to reallocate vehicles, drivers and loaders to support statutory requirement for recycling, food and black sack waste collections. Please note: Garden waste can be left for longer than two weeks and can also be composted at home. The District Council is in the process of reviewing the services it provides (including associated fees/charges) on a daily/weekly basis. No decisions have been made as yet.
New garden waste subscriptions and renewals have been suspended for the duration. If your garden waste subscription has, or is due to expire during the suspension, the District Council will send you a renewal reminder as soon as it reinstates the service.
