Crediton Youth Service: What we do!

Did you know? As well as our youth club Crediton Youth Service also delivers the following projects and activities:

Detached youth work

Not all young people want to come to our youth club and so our detached youth work team meet young people where they are, on the streets and in the park, offering conversation, activities and support.

Peer mentors

Peer Mentors work with young people in year 6, 7 and 8 at our after-school youth club, developing their communication and teamwork skills, as well as undertaking youth work and safeguarding training.  A first step into employment for local Crediton young people.

School outreach

Our team work closely with QE as well as local primary schools to safeguard and support young people and to provide a range of activities and projects that encourage the development and learning of young people.

Transition Project

Our summer transition project trains a team of year 7 mentors to welcome and support the transition of year 6 pupils from primary to secondary.

Community projects

Our team are also involved in a range of projects out and about in the community - look out for some street art in the park in the summer months!

Want to get involved in supporting young people in Crediton?  We recruit and train volunteers 3 times per year - please contact Cath Kelly for more details or complete a Volunteer Application Form.

Have a skill or interest you would like to share?  We are also always keen to hear from people who might like to offer one off activities and workshops with us - get in touch and start a conversation.
