Allotments are provided by the Council for cultivation by local people. Follow the link to find out more about the Town Council Allotments or contact us for more information.
The Town Bandstand is situated in Newcombes Meadow. It is available for booking through the Town Council, contact the office for more information or download a booking form.
The Millennium Cross was erected by the Town Council on St Lawrence Green to mark the turn of the century.
Newcombes Meadow formerly part of the Newcombes Estate now public pleasure grounds is owned and operated by Mid Devon District Council. It is home to the Town's St Boniface Statue and the Town Bandstand which is maintained by the Town Council.
Newcombes Meadow Toilet block is open for everyone to use from 9am to 4pm everyday.
Upper Deck provides a good view over the Town from the top of George Hill. A popular haunt of courting couples in years gone by.
The War Memorial sited on Union Road at the top of Newcombes Meadow is set in a respectful oak structure with cedar shingle roof, set on local Posbury Stone. In recent years the Town Council was able to renovate the structure.
Play Areas located at Spinning Path Gardens & Fulda Crescent offering safe spaces for children to play.
Peoples Park provides a vast area of grass to enjoy picnics, dog walks and the occasional sunshine!
The town council maintains a small number of structures and open spaces in the town. The condition of them is reviewed annually and repairs and cleaning are carried out in a planned programme throughout the year. If you wish to report any issues, please contact us.
